About the Project

LSIA’s Assessment, Evaluation and Student Learning research program has one full-time PhD candidature opportunities available attached to a recently-funded ARC Discovery Grant. The project is led by Professor Joy Cumming with research team members from ACU and other Australian universities. Focus areas for doctoral research could be educational assessment, special education, education disability law, or secondary curriculum subjects. The successful candidates will be located in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Scholarship criteria:

- completed an Honours or research Master degree [or equivalent];
- academic excellence, including, but not limited to, academic awards and grants;
- ability to contribute to a team;
- management and organisational skills;
- high level verbal and written English proficiency; and
- prior qualitative or quantitative research experience and publication of research findings are desirable.

Funding Notes

The scholarship provides:

A three-year tax-exempt stipend ($26,288 per annum) and top-up ($5,000 per annum), with tuition fee waiver and OSHC policy for international applicants.
