About the Project

Area of investigation: Green Chemistry and Alternative Energy. Organic Chemistry and Polymer Chemistry.
The Project:
The main project of the successful candidate will be the design preparation and testing of new anionic membranes for fuel cells. This multidisciplinary project includes the synthesis of novel cationic organic monomers, their incorporation in membrane polymers, chemical and physical characterizations and testing in fuel cells. The successful candidate is expected to have proven working knowledge of modern synthetic and analytical methods.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic and motivated MSc with a strong background in chemistry, excellent practical skills and a deep understanding of organic chemistry. Knowledge and experience in electrochemistry would be a plus. Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as a team player would be of importance.
Successful excellent candidates will be offered a 4-year PhD scholarship.
