About the Project

A qualitative based analysis of literature and unique set of studies will be involved in this PhD proposal. This will be building on some of my past work on narratives for instance see reference below.
Study 1: Meta ethnographic or thematic synthesis review focusing on illness in MS
Study 2: Consideration of transition and use of illness narratives by patients with MS through different methodological approaches. Longitudinal work with newly diagnosed patients with MS following them across time (main study 1)
Study 2a: narratives of sport and exercise for patients
Study 3: Considering health care professionals reactions to MS stories
Study 4: Developing a training package for health care professionals around narratives for MS and testing using a feasibility study. (main study 2)

Funding Notes

You will be required to self-fund and some small bench fees will be required to support your learning through the 3 years.
