About the Project

The vacancy is for a single student to develop and synthesise novel glucose-selective chemical receptors based on research emerging from the team (1). These receptors will be incorporated into smart insulin delivery materials. The project will involve the design and synthesis of glucose-binding molecules. Applicants interested in coupling synthetic organic chemistry skills and knowledge of chemoreceptors for drug delivery are encouraged to apply. The project has already attracted press attention (2,3) and this vacancy is for a student to explicitly develop synthetic chemistry approaches towards realising the overarching ambitions of the collaborative team.
