About the Project

This studentship will examine the relationship between work force participation, aging and chronic illness comparing several low and middle-income countries over time. While chronic conditions such as heart disease, cancer and obesity are becoming a serious public health concern in economically emerging countries, little is known about the impact of chronic illness on labour supply.

Funding Notes

Awards are available for UK or EU students only for a maximum of three years full-time study. Awards will cover University Fees and Doctoral Stipend (2017-2018: £14,553).
