About the Project

The Donald Heath PhD in Pulmonary Hypertension Research at Sheffield

Applications are now being invited for a three-year Basic Science PhD Studentship, starting in October 2017. The successful candidate will join an established training programme incorporating researchers at the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust.

Applicants are expected to make contact with their proposed supervisors to discuss projects prior to application, and to complete a project application form (available upon request) in addition to the standard University of Sheffield application. Candidates are expected to have obtained at least an upper class Second at undergraduate level but are expected to have also completed a Masters Degree in relevant subject areas. This PhD Fellowship scheme is designed to attract the very best candidates and enhanced stipend will be awarded.

Funding Notes

The Donald Heath studentship is open to Home/EU students only. The award funds tuition fees for three years and an RCUK rate (£14,553 for 17/18) plus an additional enhancement of £5k per annum.
