About the Project
An exciting collaboration opportunity has arisen to work with Oxford Plastics and WMG whilst undertaking an EngD qualification. This four year course will enable you to gain a portfolio of both business and technical skills whilst generating real innovation to practice at the sponsor company.
Oxford Plastics are an ambitious and leading British manufacturer of site safety products. Their award-winning ranges of safe and simple temporary products are designed to be compliant with the latest codes of practice. You can find their products in the Highways, Utilities, Events, Streetworks, Industrial, Civils and Construction sectors.
At WMG, you will be working within the materials and manufacturing team with access to state-of-the-art laboratories, equipment and leading UK experts.
Over the four year course you will undertake a suite of projects across a design, materials, manufacturing and modelling remit, as well as a range of tailored taught modules to assist you to become a business leader of the future.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will have a 2:1 degree or above in materials, mechanical engineering or similar and have experience in CAD and FEA.
You should be ambitious, self-motivated, forward thinking and dynamic, with an interest in product innovation.
Funding Notes
A tax free stipend of £16,053 is available for UK/EU applicants. The funding also covers all University tuition and course fees as well as a travel allowance.
