About the Project
The Prostate Cancer Survivorship and E-Health/Tele-Health PhD Scholarship will be aligned with the broader research program “Surviving Prostate Cancer in Regional Australia” located within the Institute for Resilient Regions (IRR) at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ).
The project will aim to use technology as a means for improving survivorship of men with prostate cancer in regional Australia. The project will develop and trial technology-based interventions (e.g. Tele-Health, E-Health) that can be delivered remotely to enhance care and support for, or improve the quality of life of, men living with prostate cancer in regional Australia (specific project details and scope to be determined).
Selection criteria
• Knowledge, experience or interest in the area of health and behavioural sciences, particularly with respect to prostate cancer survivorship, regional health, and use of innovative approaches (e.g. technology) to improve service delivery;
• Demonstrated excellent communication skills in both written and oral English and excellent presentation skills;
• Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team;
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently organise workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines; and
• Show initiative and have well developed problem-solving skills.

Funding Notes
The Prostate Cancer Survivorship and E-Health/Tele-Health PhD Scholarship will provide a stipend (living allowance) valued at AUD$30 000 per annum.
