Protein engineering enzymes for Industry.

We are interested in key features of protein sequence - structure - function relationship, and how this information can be translated to health. We work on a number of enzymes, relevant to industry, using protein engineering and structural biology, to inform rational design of modifications leading to enhanced enzyme behaviour. We are a multi-disciplinary group and this project will suit a highly motivated student who will have the opportunity to work across complementary fields of structural and computational biology, utilising cutting-edge facilities available at Reading and the Harwell Research Campus, through collaborative research.
