EMBLA project - Using single cell RNA-seq to understand post-transcriptional regulation

Post-transcriptional mechanisms greatly diversify transcriptomes and proteomes playing critical roles in fundamental biological processes associated with normal physiology, human diseases and disorders. However, it is inherently stochastic and results in extensive biological noise. In close collaboration with the Garvan-Weizmann Centre for Cellular Genomics, this project will investigate mechanisms underlying genetic variation in the transcriptome using single-cell data. This project is suited for students with some experience in computational biology.
