Up to 9 funded places available
The Centre for Doctoral Training in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine will provide postgraduate research and training for students, to develop and deliver regenerative therapies and devices, to repair or replace diseased tissues and restore normal tissue function.
Approaches may utilise novel scaffolds in conjunction with the patient’s own (autologous) cells or acellular scaffolds, regenerative therapies for tissue repair will be developed at a lower cost over reduced timeframes and with reduced risk, compared to alternative and more complex cell therapy approaches.
This is an exciting opportunity to undertake a 4 year funded integrated PhD and MSc in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine, further details can be found on our website.
Entry requirements are a degree equivalent to a UK upper second class honours (2:1) or higher in a physical science, engineering or biological science.
If you have an informal enquiry please do not hesitate to contact our CDT support team, regenmed@leeds.ac.uk
We welcome scholarship applications from all suitably-qualified candidates, but UK black and minority ethnic (BME) researchers are currently under-represented in our Postgraduate Research community, and we would therefore particularly encourage applications from UK BME candidates. All scholarships will be awarded on the basis of merit
The Centre for Doctoral Training in Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine 2018/19 Cohort is now full, this was also the last intake of the 5 year EPSRC grant.
