Dr J D Woollins, Prof A M Z Slawin  No more applications being accepted  Competition Funded PhD Project (UK Students Only)

About the Project

We have previously worked on the synthesis of a range of selenium rich systems. This project will involve studying the synthesis and coordination chemistry of seleno compounds with a view to understanding their reactivity, structure and potential biological activity

Techniques to be used..Synthesis, multinuclear nmr, crystallography.

We would be willing to consider applicants who wish to specialise in synthesis or X-ray crystallography.

We have world leading facilities for crystallography.

Funding Notes

A good first degree and enthusiasm.
