Professor Eric Fevre holds a BSc (Hons), MSc, and PhD. He joined the University of Liverpool in 2013 and currently serves as the Chair of Veterinary Infectious Diseases. His research programme focuses on the epidemiology of zoonotic and emerging diseases, with a primary emphasis on East Africa. He is hosted at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in Nairobi, Kenya, where he holds a joint appointment. Under this joint appointment, he leads, manages, or contributes to several projects that have significant development and impact relevance, including large-scale surveillance implementation programmes and capacity development activities funded by development donors. Professor Fevre is also involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching at the University of Liverpool. He manages the relationship with ILRI, which has become an important collaborative partner for the university, supporting various projects.
