Professor Nicola Williams is a Professor of Bacterial Zoonotic Disease and serves as the Deputy Dean of the Institute of Infection, Veterinary and Ecological Sciences at the University of Liverpool. She is a microbiologist with a focus on various research interests, including the reservoirs and transmission of food-borne pathogens, the transfer and maintenance of antimicrobial resistance, antimicrobial prescribing practices, and the molecular epidemiology of antimicrobial-resistant bacteria in wildlife, livestock, and companion animals.
