About the Project

We have recently developed a new non-antibody binding protein scaffold called Adhiron, that is small (82 aa) and extremely robust. We have produced extremely high quality phage display libraries. We routinely select Adhirons against a range of molecular targets including proteins, peptides, organic and inorganic molecules. We are interested in further engineering an tailoring the scaffold for a range of applications.

The project will involve training in a range of molecular biology and protein biochemistry, recombinant protein purification and biochemical and biophysical characterisation of proteins.

Funding Notes

Student must be able to provide funding for their academic fees, research costs and living costs.
