A scholarship is available in the J.E. Cairnes School of Business & Economics, National University of Ireland Galway, www.nuigalway.ie to facilitate fulltime research towards a PhD degree in the area of public sector accounting research. Expressions of interest in researching management control systems within public sector and not-for-profit organisations will be particularly welcome. This research is located within the Institute for Business, Social Sciences and Public Policy (IBSSPP) under the third of five priority research areas: Business Performance, Agility and Governance. Researchers in this cluster are currently examining critical issues in performance management using a multidisciplinary approach.

Funding Notes:
The Scholarship includes an annual stipend of up to €16,000. The Scholarship is open to all nationalities and is tenable for up to 4 years and is dependent on satisfactory progress. A short list of applicants will be invited for interview.
