About the Project

The Dynamics and Control Research Group (http://dac.eeng.nuim.ie/) at NUI Maynooth is currently recruiting a PhD student to undertake research on data mining, statistical analysis, predictive modeling and control for industrial applications as part of an EU ENIAC funded project on Integrated Solutions for Agile Manufacturing in High-mix Semiconductor Fabs (INTEGRATE). INTEGRATE Industrial partners include Intel (Ireland), St Microelectronics (France), GlobalFoundries (Germany), Micron (Italy) and NXP (Netherlands).

The research will involve developing data driven soft sensing and control solutions for a range of manufacturing processes using state-of-the-art machine learning, data mining and control techniques. The initial focus will be on enhanced run-to-run and real-time control of plasma etch processes employed in semiconductor manufacturing.
