Two PhD Studentships

Studentship: (£13,590 per annum plus £1,000 research expenses per annum for 3 years)

Applications are invited for two fully funded full-time PhD studentships in the Department of Psychology at the University of Portsmouth. Applications are welcomed that complement our existing research strengths in Forensic Psychology; Cultural Psychology, Communication and Ecological Psychology; Study of Emotion and Engagement; Evolutionary and Comparative Psychology; Quality of Life, Health and Wellbeing.

The studentships will be funded for three years and include tuition fees and a maintenance grant (£13,590 in 2010-2011). The successful candidates will receive an additional £1,000 per year for research related expenses, as well as office space and personal computing facilities.
Applicants will have a Bachelors degree in Psychology or a related discipline. Preference will be given to students with a Masters (or equivalent) in research training relevant to the proposed research or a first class undergraduate degree.
