Thinking about a Masters or PhD? Postgrad LIVE London is your chance to interrogate universities in person (legally, of course). Ask any awkward funding questions, find out what postgraduate life is really like, and also learn how to land a place at a university. There's also a talks programme running throughout the day if you fancy sitting down for a bit whilst listening to some pretty valuable postgrad information at the same time.

Postgrad LIVE has two main areas to explore:

The Exhibition Hall - A space full of university stands where you can chat directly with representatives.

Talks Programme -This runs alongside the fair and you can dip in and out of both. Feel free to join as many as you like or none at all.

We've also got an "Ask Us Anything" zone where you can fire away with all your questions about funding, applications, student life and more, and get honest answers from our postgraduate experts.

11:00am - 12:00pm

Postgrad 101: Who? What? Where? When? How? - The postgraduate world can be a confusing, acronym-filled place. If you don't know your MRes from your MPhil, this talk is for you. We cover the basics you'll need for your studies. We discuss application deadlines, entry dates, funding and more to give you a checklist of all the essential information you need.

12:30pm – 1:15pm

Covering the cost of your Masters - Find out the true cost of a Masters and how to pay for it. This talk walks you through what you need to budget for, what funding sources are out there and how to access them with examples from Masters students who have been in your shoes.

1:30pm – 2:30pm

Writing a research proposal masterclass - The research proposal makes or breaks your application. Learn what you should and shouldn't include and get valuable tips and advice from previous successful PhD students with real experience.

How to find the venue?

What are the closest transport links?

Russell Square and Tottenham Court Road are both a 5-10 minute walk away from the venue.

What time does the fair open?

The fair will officially open at 12pm. That is when you'll be able to walk around the exhibition hall and chat to universities. It will finish at 3pm.

Is there any charge?

Nope! Attending Postgrad LIVE is completely FREE.

Why is there a Masterclass on before the fair opens?

The Masterclass is a pre-fair talk and will run before the fair opens.

Do I need to book onto the Masterclass?

Nope! There is no need to book onto the Masterclass. It will be on a first come first serve basis, so arrive within plenty of time before the Masterclass is due to start.

Do I need to book any of the other talks happening throughout the day?

No. All talks happening during Postgrad LIVE are also on a first come first serve basis.
