Middlesex University is committed to outstanding research. With an excellent outcome in REF 2014, we are among the top ten institutions both for percentage increase and overall increase in REF related research income.

We have made a significant investment in research staff and facilities, which has accelerated over the past few years. As part of this ongoing commitment we are pleased to announce further opportunities for talented individuals to benefit from a fully funded bursary to undertake research leading to the award of a PhD.

The bursaries are offered on a three years, full-time basis and cover a maintenance award and fee payments (at the UK/EU rate), linked to the level of corresponding awards made by UK research councils.

About the University

Middlesex University is a leading international university, with campuses in London, Dubai, Mauritius and Malta. The main campus, based in North London, has seen significant investment in recent years with a new £40m laboratory complex, opened in 2009, which co-locates our Biomedical Sciences, Computer Science and Psychology, building upon emerging synergies between these areas, and an £80m building complex, opened in 2011, to house our art, design and media activities.
