The EngD training provides:The Centre is designed to be industrially focussed. We aim to ensure that all of the projects we undertake are targeted at meeting specific current and future needs of our partners. We work with numerous companies which cover a broad range of energy-intensive industries. Researchers will spend time working closely with one or more industrial sponsors, pursuing a research project based at one of our industrial supporters, or in a university environment with a close relationship with industry:
The Centre has excellent relationships with more than twenty industrial partners Projects will match both the interests of the researcher and industry.
Successful candidates will work with academics and industry partner(s) to shape the exact scope of each doctorate.
In addition to a broad range of potential projects which the Centre already has under development, candidates are welcome to approach the Centre with their own ideas for research projects, provided they are consistent with the concepts outlined above.
