About the Project

Following a successful grant proposal, we welcome applications from suitably qualified students for a fully-funded research post-graduate position at the Combustion Chemistry Centre, NUI Galway.

This position will be funded to €18,500 each year for four years. An experimental and chemical kinetic modelling study of hydrocarbon species will be performed in a rapid compression machine and in a shock tube and the data will be simulated together with other experimental data available in the literature and with collaborating institutions.

Successful candidates will be based in Galway but may have the opportunity to travel to other laboratories in Europe and the United States on working visits and to present their work at international conferences.

Applications (to include a CV and the names of two academic referees) and further information for this position to Prof. Henry Curran: [Email Address Removed]
