Role: Guest Contributor

Postgraduate expertise

Hazel took the slightly unconventional career route of a History degree followed by eight years of working in hospitality/generally drifting about, and then a sustainability-focussed MSc. Having fallen for science, she went on to start a PhD in Soil Ecology at the University of Birmingham, where she is currently in her second year. She is interested in the arts/sciences divide (and how we can break it down), in widening access to education, and in achieving “real-world” impact through scientific research.
