Aston PhD+ studentship scheme

The Aston PhD+ fully funded studentship scheme has been launched to prepare researchers with the vital skills needed for the digital age and the technology-driven new industrial revolution. Leveraging the University’s strong partnerships with industry, PhD+ is the first UK programme to combine an industrial placement, continuing professional development (CPD) accreditation, and comprehensive training in cutting-edge areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), leadership and business. This innovative approach enhances learning and equips PhD researchers to excel in both their professional careers and life within a changing world. Industry partners include Aurrigo, Domestic & General (D&G), Mondelez, Legrand Care, and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, among others.

Aston-Deakin Cotutelle Program (ADCP)

ADCP PhD is a partnership cotutelle doctoral training program between Aston University (Birmingham, UK) and Deakin University (Melbourne, Australia). Projects are fully funded and focus on child health and development. All studentships are co-funded and co-supervised between Aston University and Deakin University, forming the foundations of a vibrant international network. This offers an excellent opportunity for students to undertake research training in an international, collaborative environment, learning new skills and developing valuable networks.
