His work integrates three interrelated domains: space, media, and people, and he is recognised for his insights into the future design of spaces, buildings, and cities. His research encompasses both physical spaces and their mediated expressions through various forms of visual arts, digital media, and artificial intelligence systems. As a multidisciplinary expert, Professor Koeck bridges architecture, design, and audio-visual digital media, concentrating on the intersection of space, media, and culture. He employs a transdisciplinary approach to explore the future of spatial design, focusing on innovative ideas and concepts in the design of buildings, cities, and interactive environments. He combines significant practice and industry experience with leadership in research and development, particularly in major UKRI-funded initiatives. In addition to his academic roles, he co-founded and directs CineTecture Ltd, delivering impactful projects across the UK, EU, and China. He is also a Creative Industry champion and participates in panels for leading funding bodies in the UK and EU, sharing his expertise through keynote addresses at international conferences and summits globally.
